The artwork photographed here has now sold and is an example. A new artwork will be made to order using the same methods and materials. Therefore, there may be minor differences. This artwork is made with yellow gold, but it is possible to commission an artwork with an alternative gold, such as white gold or champagne gold.Contact me to discuss gold options.

This artwork is made to order and due to the nature of the materials used, and the drying time required, they can take between 3 to 6 weeks to receive. If you require your print sooner, please contact.

Delivery Details

Enjoy worldwide shipping, calculated at checkout once you select your country and choose 'Small Work Courier' as the shipping method.

Your print will be carefully rolled in acid-free tissue paper, wrapped in cotton-backed bubble wrap, and shipped in a sturdy tube. Orders include insured, tracked delivery, typically arriving within 1 week from purchase.

About the Artwork

Blow Fish is printed using a van son rubber-based ink and hand finished with ink and watercolour. The paper is Mulberry thick 52gsm, which is 10% Kozo with the balance being 90% sulphite pulp without chemical fillers, and a small amount of sizing is added before drying.

The gold leaf is 22ct yellow gold from Giusto Manetti Battiloro. This genuine gold metal has been beaten incredibly finely to form gossamer-thin sheets for gilding. It has been applied using a two-part system by Kolner and then varnished with a semi-gloss robust lacquer. This genuine gold will not tarnish.

Due to the technique used for the application of gold leaf, this artwork is unique and not an edition.

Although gold leaf is protected with a robust lacquer, I highly recommend that it is framed and can advise on this if requested.
